Custom Designed Pools

Designing your pool is not about us. It’s about you the customer and bringing your vision to life. Yes, we have a lot of experience in the design and installation of all types of pools that is why we are a well-established business with an excellent reputation with in the wet leisure industry. To establish the right specification for your needs a face to face consultation will required. We can either come to see you or alternatively you can welcome to visit us in our pool lounge area of the offices in Huddersfield. During the consultation we will gain a good understanding of your needs that will enable us to bring your vision to life and create the perfect pool for you and your family to enjoy for years to come.

The Filtration: Over the years we have designed filtration systems to suit any specification for various pools and spas. All equipment that we do provide is reliable and cost effective. It is imperative that the hydraulics of a filtration system including pumps, pipe sizing, heat exchangers, and pool finishes are designed to suit the plant flow and to ensure quality treated water is delivered to all areas of the pool. For clients this is the boring but essential to creating the best water quality and bathing environment. All our installation engineers have a minimum of 10 years’ experience. We install both the mechanical and electrical elements of the filtration system all tested and certified at handover.

The Pool Shell: All our pool shells are formed by either the traditional reinforced shuttered and poured concrete method or by reinforced sprayed concrete method. Both applications are installed to current BS EN Standards. Sprayed concrete is an extremely versatile material that lends itself to many applications in the industry. The system has advantages similar to all other concrete structures, it is durable, resistant to disasters and has good thermal mass. It particularly lends itself to the installation of free form pools, with tight curves and flowing lines. However, the main benefit of using sprayed concrete is the speed of application. Traditional reinforced shutter and poured concrete is still the most favoured of installations in particular on bigger pools and when the pool is level deck. Yes, it’s is a longer process than spraying but the finish before render application is smooth and easier on the eye

The Tiles: We have tile suppliers from all over the world which you a huge array of choice. From mosaic to porcelain to bespoke creations. Everyone wants to be different right? Whilst blue may be the traditional colour for swimming pool mosaics, an increasing number of clients request something altogether more glamorous. Many of our mosaics feature blends of different colours, some with a subtle metallic finish which produces a gorgeous effect when coupled with rippling water. From glass and stone pebble mosaics to textured natural and technical porcelain floor tiles for the pool surround, we know that there’s more to swimming pools than mosaics. All our tiling works are carried out by our very own in-house tiling team with years of experience tiling pools, spas and steam rooms. You can see some of there work in our images throughout our website.

The Pool Hall Environment: The major benefits of having an indoor pool are that it can be used all year round especially in the UK with our great British weather. Careful consideration will be given to the pool hall heating & dehumidification system. The pool hall temperature should always be 1 degree above pool water temperature otherwise you will have a pool hall which looks like a Turkish bath with dampness & condensation on windows, fixtures and fittings. In our design we incorporate a Heatstar system which controls both pool heating and pool hall heating & dehumidification in an all in one unit. Also, in the design process the pool hall will be assessed to size the correct Heatstar unit and weather duct work for the pool hall will be needed for the right distribution. These units are very reliable and the best in the market to control your pool hall environment.

The Pool Cover: If you want to reduce running cost, then a pool cover is highly recommended. Here are 8 smart reasons why you should install a pool cover.

  1. Conserves water
  2. Cuts down energy cost
  3. Saves money
  4. Keeps out debris
  5. Less maintenance
  6. Helps retain heat in the pool
  7. Cuts down chemical usage
  8. Slows down evaporation

A pool cover is of course a personal choice. And there are many choices for the finishes that float on top of the pool. However, you may not to hide your pool from the world with a pool cover. One thing to bear in mind when you are making the decision is that a residential pool typically is used 20% of the time which means the pool could be covered for 80% time saving on the associated cost of having your own pool.

The Design:  All our design drawings will be produced in AutoCAD format. We also offer a 3D design service. Having design drawings is essential for various reasons. As the client you can see what to expect from the installation, Interfaces with architects, interfaces on site with other trades which allows any site project to run smoothly as possible and also record drawings that can used at later date or passed on if you sell the property.

The Standards: We are very proud of our high standards of work and we install all our projects to the following guidelines:
